Nice day on the phone, dear?
Article Abstract:
The UK government's new transport policy, which includes the goal of reducing the number of car journeys made, could play a role in promoting teleworking. Evidence is already emerging that teleworking can bring significant benefits. These include reducing the amount of time spent travelling and allowing companies to cope more effectively with the cyclical nature of customer demand. However, some observers point out that it may be misguided to assume that a rise in teleworking will necessarily lead to a fall in road traffic.

Taking intellectual capital into account
Article Abstract:
Companies' book values and stock values have come to diverge widely and auditors tend not to be consistent in their treatment of intellectual capital. Knowledge industries are becoming incresingly important, so this issue should not be neglected. David Skyrne is one analyst who is concerned with this issue, and he praises Skandia for the way it uses its intangible assets. Many United Kingdom accountants are concerned that subjectivity is involved in intangibles, and they do not see valuing intangibles as their role.
