'Christian culture' chugs back into Krajina
Article Abstract:
Taking a train journey through the area which until the recent Croat invasion was the 'Serb Republic of Krajina' is a good way to view the changes which have taken place there. Many buildings have been destroyed, and Serbs who have fled the region are unlikely to return there. The scenes of devastation show the Croats in a poor light, but the Croats point out that they are only acting in the same way as the Serbs did in 1991 when they took over the region.

Croatians count toll in a 'clean war.' (Croatian army undertakes ethnic cleansing in Krajina)
Article Abstract:
There are mixed reports about the outcome of Croatia's 'Operation Storm,' undertaken when it invaded Serb-held Krajina recently. It is clear that a considerable number of Serb troops were killed, but some reports also indicate that at least 300 people, many of them civilians, have perished. European monitors are suspicious that a form of ethnic cleansing may have taken place, especially as so many of the bodies remain unidentified.

Krajina's survivors stagger back 'home.' (last of the Serbs leave Krajina)
Article Abstract:
The final Serb refugees are now being transported by the United Nations from Croat-held Krajina to Serbia. Many have resisted leaving their ancestral homes in mountain villages, despite having been attacked by Croat soldiers and civilians. They were told by Croatian president Franjo Tudjman originally that they could stay in their homes, but were ordered out by Croat troops.
