Cinemas continue to be a favorite source of recreation in UK, as evidenced by the trend in the last five years. Box office sales are 43% higher and the number of screens has spiraled from less than 2,000 to almost 3,000. Multiplexes have mushroomed at the expense of conventional cinema sites, and cinema audience is steadily increasing.
