Corruption uncovered at heart of the Met

The recent conviction for corruption of John Donald, a police officer, and businessman Kevin Cressey has highlighted growing concerns about police corruption in the UK. Some observers feel that it is very easy for police officers to obtain confidential information for their own use, and that they can use the criminal justice system to their own advantage with little fear of being detected. This particular case only came to light as a result of an investigation undertaken by television programme 'Panorama.'

Lamplugh police to re-examine unknown bodies
Article Abstract:
Detectives investigating the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh in 1986 believe that her body may be among more than 800 unidentified bodies held in morgues. They will use DNA taken from her parents to compare with the genetic material taken from the unidentified bodies.
