Croatian forces fire on UN helicopters
Article Abstract:
Two UN helicopters were shot at near Zagreb by rogue Croatian forces. Anti-aircraft shells exploded between them as they flew east to Daruvar. The UN intends to stop thousands of Croatian refugees marching across their lines into Serbian-occupied eastern Croatia as Serbian forces would shoot them. UN troops have not succeeded in disarming Serbian forces or enabling refugees to return home. President of Bosnia Alija Izetbegovic expounded a plan to demilitarise Sarajevo before winter.

Old creed replaces Croat's faith in justice
Article Abstract:
Mostar, the new capital of Herzeg-Bosnia, was liberated by the Bosnian Croat army on Jun 15, 1992. Almost everyone wears uniform and carries arms. Hostile soldiers man checkpoints in the city. People feel cheated by the UN peace plan. No Croatian refugees have been returned home to Serb-controlled parts of Croatia. The West has not acted on its principles that borders must not be altered by force and people must not be driven from their homes.
