Danny the Man goes futuristic
Article Abstract:
Making films is extremely enjoyable, according to actor, director and producer Danny DeVito. He wants his films to challenge audiences, but he also wants them to be entertaining. He believes that the main factor behind the success of his company, Jersey Films, is that the workload is shared between himself and partners Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg. The company's current projects include an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard novel, 'Out of Sight,' and a film provisionally entitled 'The Kiss.' This will feature DeVito and Holly Hunter.

Macabre, dry, mad about reading. Just like Roald Dahl really, says the late author's wife
Article Abstract:
Roald Dahl's book 'Matilda' was ideal for converting into a film, according to actor/director Danny DeVito. The author leads the child's mind into hitherto undiscovered places, but provides the means of returning to the real world. DeVito worked closely with children to ensure that the film version of the book struck the right balance, and feels that he has achieved this. He became so involved in the project that he not only directed the film, but also took on the roles of narrator and one of the key characters.
