Does this man think he's God?
Article Abstract:
Filmmaker David Cronenberg was aware when he was making his latest film, 'eXistenZ' that it would possibly be a bit more accessible than some of his other films. However, the film he began to write was not the one he eventually made. He regards the excitement of film-making as being like becoming involved in the evolution of a new species. He recognizes that the early death of his father from a severe wasting disease had a dramatic impact, but emphasizes that his film career was already well established when that happened.
