Dredging up the old myths
Article Abstract:
The death of John F. Kennedy Jr in an aircraft crash has served to refocus attention on the myths that have surrounded the Kennedy family for many years. The truth about former President John F. Kennedy's life did not come to light until some time after his assassination, but much was already known about the private life of his son. Indeed, in his death he has become the perfect story for his own magazine. It is now time to abandon the myth of the Kennedy family being cursed and the myth propagated by Joe Kennedy, John F. Kennedy Jr's paternal grandfather, that only what people think of you is important.

Who cares about children?
Article Abstract:
The main reason why child abuse remains a serious problem in the UK is that anybody at all can have a baby. The 3 million pounds sterling campaign launched by the NSPCC to make people more aware that they could have direct contact with children who are being abused will not succeed in eliminating child abuse within 20 years because it fails to acknowledge that people are not merely either good or evil. There are many stages between good and evil, and there is no guarantee that everybody will report child abuse when they become aware of it.
