Can Lord Rogers make us love cities?
Article Abstract:
The new taskforce headed by architect Richard Rogers will look at many of the key issues of modern society in the UK. These will include housing affordability, traffic congestion, crime and the declining urban infrastructure. It aims to bring together parks, housing, workplaces, shops and civic facilities into closely unified communities which are both attractive and functional. Rogers believes that it is now time to make people feel more positively about living in cities.
