Article Abstract:

Building up a long-term relationship with a film director can be very rewarding for an actor, according to John Turturro. In his latest film, a comedy entitled 'Box of Moonlight,' he plays a character who appears to be very conventional but in fact has a complex personality. Turturro was initially reluctant to consider this project, but was persuaded to become involved by director Tom DiCillo. After becoming more familiar with the script, he found that it had the potential to be a very interesting film.

Actor Ray Winstone believes that it is vital that actors believe in what they are doing. He generally enjoyed playing a violent character in Gary Oldman's 'Nil by Mouth,' but sometimes found it hard to remember that he was an actor playing a part. He has played many violent characters, and is now very keen to play a more attractive character. He would like to be able to convince directors that his acting abilities are actually very rounded.
