Facing the music: has the man from United Biscuits bitten off more than he can chew at EMI?
Article Abstract:
New EMI Chmn Eric Nicoli, former head of snack food manufacturer United Biscuits, will face significant challenges in his new job. The company has suffered a fall in profits following a series of weak releases, and was negatively affected by conflict over efforts to find a successor to Sir Colin Southgate. However, Nicoli seems to have made a good start, being willing to introduce change and consider new options. He must prove that he has the management ability to run a complex and high-profile operation.
