Father set to sue over suicide of top playwright
Article Abstract:
Peter Kane, father of the late playwright Sarah Kane, feels that his daughter was not properly monitored when she was admitted to hospital after having tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose. He believes that an internal inquiry at King's College Hospital in London, England, has not provided a satisfactory explanation. He acknowledges that she was suffering from depression, but does not feel that her suicide, which took place in the hospital after she disappeared from the ward, should have been inevitable.

When a man loves being a woman
Article Abstract:
UK newspapers have traditionally been strong supporters of family values, and have been very critical of people who do not adhere to these values. However, there are now signs of a change in attitude. Two recent sex change stories have been covered in a neutral, if not overtly positive, way, and this seems to reflect a gradual dissolving of gender boundaries. There is now a more widespread acceptance that gender differences are not restricted to those between men and women.
