For God's sake don't say cheese
Article Abstract:
Laughter and smiling can convey many different messages, not all of which are positive. The differences are distinguished by subtle changes in the way the facial muscles work and by an individual's ability to recognise them. Research indicates that a genuine emotion usually affects both sides of the face equally, while there is more activity on the left side of the face if the feelings being conveyed are false. Some of the muscles involved in a real smile are not under an individual's conscious control, and for this reason if can be very hard to fake a real smile.

More a woman's friend than a curse
Article Abstract:
Menstruation is part of an essential defence mechanism against the bacteria which enter the womb via sperm, according to American researcher Margie Profet. Most of the pathogens which ride on sperm are already in the vagina or cervix, but can cause problems such as spontaneous abortions when they enter the womb. This theory has implications for the treatment of womb infections and on the effects of the contraceptive pill and IUDs.
