A dandy has his day
Article Abstract:
Dressing unusually can often be a sign of a desire to escape the present, according to Sir Roy Strong, former director of the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has been known as an unusual dresser for many years, and this has sometimes brought him media criticism. A brown cotton-velvet jacket and waistcoat which were made for him in 1968 by the Just Men shop in the King's Road in London, England, are now displayed at the museum as part of an exhibition entitled 'The Cutting Edge: 50 Years of British Fashion.'

Back to the new Stone Age
Article Abstract:
Statues and stone fragments are becoming an increasingly popular element of interior design in the UK. They can be used to create an antique atmosphere, or can be used in a minimalist way, forming the focus for a sparsely furnished room. Many people favour damaged statuary, as this gives an appealing weathered look. Where a room has plain furniture, a single piece of sculpture will create space, as the furniture seems to disappear.
