Genetic fingerprinting in the dock
Article Abstract:
DNA testing is widely used in the US to eliminate suspects from inquiries into various crimes. It is now being taken up in the UK, where police are using the technique in the investigation into the murder of 15-year-old Naomi Smith. Investigators hope to take DNA samples from 800 young men aged 15-28, thus eliminating suspects and possibly forcing the killer to reveal himself. However, some experts are expressing doubts about DNA testing, claiming that the quality of testing can vary greatly.

The wives and times of cuddly Dudley
Article Abstract:
Actor Dudley Moore was extremely popular in the UK in the 1960s and in the US in the 1970s. However, his career began to fade in the 1980s, and professional problems have also been reflected in difficulties in his private life. He has recently filed for divorce from his fourth wife, and living in the US seems to have produced many insecurities in him. It would perhaps be advisable for him to return to the UK before he fades into obscurity altogether.
