Oh Mr Hague, you've become such a bore about Europe
Article Abstract:

Hague should take Disraeli as a role model to deal with the New Whigs
Article Abstract:
The UK Conservative party has not performed particularly well since it lost the general election in May 1997. However, party leader William Hague has gained valuable experience, and he is now beginning to develop policies that could highlight the vulnerabilities of New Labour. As New Labour comes to resemble a modern Whig party more and more closely, Hague is seeking to establish the Conservatives as the party of more extensive personal and direct democracy. However, he is still disadvantaged by the fact that people do not really know who he is.
