Henrik Stangerup
Article Abstract:
Novelist and filmmaker Henrik Stangerup made his living as a journalist and a film critic in Paris, France, in the early 1960s, having abandoned studies to become a priest in his native Denmark. He produced a humorous cut-up documentary about Asta Nielsen in 1968, and subsequently entered the Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinematographiques. He directed his first film, 'Dieu existe tous les dimanches,' in 1970. His final trilogy of novels, begun in 1981, was inspired by Kierkegaard.

Shin'ichiro Nakamura
Article Abstract:
Novelist, poet, translator, scriptwriter, critic, biographer, essayist and painter Shin'ichiro Nakamura studied French literature at Tokyo University, Japan. During this time, he founded the 'Matinee poetique' group with some friends. He did not expect to survive the second world war, and so began his first series of extremely large novels, seeing them as a testament. He had great literary talent, but remained almost unknown outside Japan.

Jacques Laurent
Article Abstract:
Novelist, journalist and screenwriter Jacques Laurent was born in Paris, France, in 1919. He graduated from the Faculte de Lettres at the Sorbonne. He wrote extremely popular erotic stories under the pseudonym of Cecil Saint-Laurent.
