High stakes in Korean grudge match
Article Abstract:
The political scene in South Korea is unstable as the country prepares for the forthcoming 15th National Assembly elections. Student protests, which were common in the late 1980s but had died down over recent years, are beginning to re-emerge, and students are now a force in mainstream politics. The other significant factor is relations with North Korea, which have become extremely strained recently.
