Globalisation isn't inevitable: we can do something to stop it
Article Abstract:
It is unwise to talk about the world economy as if it were made up of vast and uncontrollable forces of nature. This approach makes it impossible to develop a viable political programme. Those who put forward the concept of globalization give the impression that there is nothing ordinary people, or even governments, can do to influence the forces of capitalism. It is important to realize that even economists can make mistakes and that human beings, not uncontrollable forces, are behind globalization.
