Hot spots in winter
Article Abstract:
The UK property market has entered a boom period in Dec 1996, with deals being arranged extremely quickly and buyers competing very strongly for the most attractive properties. Prices are rising rapidly as demand greatly exceeds supply. There is strong interest even in very expensive houses and in houses which have a significant drawback, such as being situated close to a major road. Demand is being partly fuelled by a lack of attractive property as many people remain in negative equity and are unable to move.

First to profit with houses on the line
Article Abstract:
The construction of the 2.6 billion pounds sterling Jubilee tube line extension will serve to greatly boost the property market in hitherto rather unpopular areas of London, England, such as Greenwich, Southwark and Docklands. There is already strong demand for property within walking distance of the stations on the new line, and prices are starting to rise dramatically. Some properties are being sold to investors, who believe that they will soon see a strong return on their investment.

Be brave, splash out on a little colour
Article Abstract:
The vast majority of homeowners in the UK lack confidence about painting their home in bright colours. However, some are now becoming willing to be more adventurous in their choice of colours for the kitchen. Indeed, kitchen design companies are now moving away from safe limed oak, pine and white, and are offering bolder colours. Some paint purchasers are attracted to paints with distinguished names and those that are based on colours used in historic buildings.
