House hunting, fee and easy
Article Abstract:
House-hunters who lack the time required to look at many different potential properties may choose to use the services of a property search company. Such companies have extensive knowledge of the property market, and may also be able to get a property more cheaply than an individual buyer can. Following initial contact, a contract is drawn up between the search company and the potential buyer, and a fee is levied. In some cases, this is deducted from the final fee. Estate agents are generally very willing to work with search companies, as they know that the client fully intends making a purchase.

There are over 800,000 owners of time share properties in Europe, including 300,000 in the UK. The British enjoy good value package holidays, but time shares also attract them because of the ownership element. Barratt, UK house construction company, brought time shares to the UK, making capital of its good reputation. In May 1997 new rules on selling time shares will take effect to protect consumers against the activities of disreputable companies.

A most remarkable Christmas
Article Abstract:
Christmas 1945 was a time of great celebration, as the second world war had finally come to an end. However, many servicemen and women were still abroad, the country was in severe financial difficulties, and there was still strict food rationing. People enjoyed being able to use lights as decorations, and managed to find some seasonal food.
