How I snatched my daughters back
Article Abstract:
About 1,200 children are abducted from Britain every year. The Hague Convention requires countries to abide by custody orders but they do not always send the children back. Children in non-signing countries are neglected. The Foreign Office has no influence over Islamic countries, whose laws give fathers almost total rights. The French government has achieved agreements after demonstrations by mothers trying to get their children back. The pressure group Reunite tries to help mothers in the UK.

It's time to swing back to the Sixties
Article Abstract:
Rock stars who are now in their 50s, including Mick Jagger and Bob Dylan, continue to be popular, although society has changed a great deal since the time when they first came to public attention. There is now strong emphasis on moral values and on banning things, which is a sharp contrast to the 1960s. It could be argued that it would be beneficial to revive some of the attitudes of the 1960s, especially the strong sense of experiment and daring.

An everyday story of how the Daily Mail digs its dirt - and how to throw it back
Article Abstract:
A recent case where the Daily Mail newspaper attempted to make a story out of the lifestyle of someone who holds views very different from those usually expressed in the newspaper highlights the methods which tabloid journalists frequently use. Neighbours were questioned, and the story was exaggerated out of all proportion. It seems that newspapers of this kind are very afraid of people who hold views directly opposed to their own.
