Sex therapist Dr Martin Cole runs the Institute for Sex Education and Research in Birmingham. In 1971 he was considered a corrupting influence and his film 'Growing Up' was banned by the education authority. He provides surrogate partners to help men with impotence or premature ejaculation. Dr Cole has a first-class honours degree in biological sciences and a PhD. About half the patients' problems are caused by medical conditions, some as side effects of medication. Inhibited desire is often the problem for women in the 1990s.

Christmas is hell when your parents drink
Article Abstract:
Support for Children of Adult Drinkers (Scad) in Worcester, England is the only such organisation in the country. The Alcohol Advisory Service in Worcester had found many children needing help but had no resources to do so until Children in Need provided a grant to establish the new service. Six trainee counsellors aged 18-25 have relatives who drink heavily. They try to help the young person cope and to prevent them following their parents into alcoholism. They provide assertiveness training.

There are now 13 maize mazes in the UK, each created from a pattern set down by Adrian Fisher. The mazes are a welcome additional source of income for farmers.
