How to win elections: do less
Article Abstract:
The Conservative party is not opposed to the UK being part of Europe, but to too much intervention by European institutions. It believes in devolving more power and choice to individuals, corporate bodies and organisations, whereas the Liberal Democrat and Labour parties seem intent on ensuring that politicians and bureaucrats obtain greater power. This clashes strongly with most ordinary people's dislike of politics.
