It is now becoming more widely accepted that western countries could learn a great deal from the way in which countries in east Asia have managed to achieve strong economic growth. Western politics are likely to become more Asian in nature, with Asian countries exerting political and cultural influence on an international scale. It is worth noting that the main reason for the success of Asian economies is that these countries have been willing to learn from the rest of the world.
