'I can't see anyone who would be a better mayor.'
Article Abstract:
Many parents in London, England, face very difficult decisions when selecting a secondary school for their children, according to Trevor Phillips, who is widely regarded as a very suitable person to become mayor of the city. However, he may find it hard to gain selection as the Labour party's candidate for mayor because his daughters attend a private school. He does not feel the need to make excuses for this, pointing out that he believed he simply had no choice in the matter. He has strong ideas about education in London, and also wants to make significant changes to the city's transport infrastructure.

Does anyone know what Jimmy wants?
Article Abstract:
Sir James Goldsmith is unlikely to make much of a mark on UK politics with his Referendum Party, even though he has a great deal of personal wealth which he can invest in campaigning. It appears that he is most interested in alarming mainstream politicians, with his party grading them according to how they have voted on the issue of holding a referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union. Voters are likely to be much more realistic, accepting that changing the UK's present relations with the European Union would be very difficult.

A fateful day, under a different kind of justice
Article Abstract:
It can be hard to come to terms with the Islamic system of law, which requires the family of a murder victim to decide the fate of the alleged murderer or murderers before guilt or innocence is established, according to Ghazi Algosaibi, Saudi Arabian ambassador in London, England. This is the situation in the case of British nurses Deborah Parry and Lucille McLauchlan, who are accused of the murder of Australian nurse Yvonne Gilford in Saudi Arabia. Gilford's brother has so far failed to intercede on behalf of the accused women.
