I lived to tell the tale, but what about Sam?
Article Abstract:
Sam Johnson, 50, has been on death row since 1981. His correspondent was called as a character witness at his re-trial. A lawyer from the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta defended Sam. Sam's friends and relatives have not seen him for 11 years because the 1,500-mile journey was too expensive. Jury selection is very fair. The jury must be convinced of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in order to convict. The judge gave Sam a life sentence which has the possibility of parole.

How to tell a hippy from a Brucie
Article Abstract:
There are a number of clearly identifiable styles among management trainers. Some like to think very deeply about the questions they are asked, and may employ techniques associated with psychotherapy. Others believe that those they are training need to be made aware of harsh realities, and are therefore not very personable. Some make extensive use of games, while others come across as academic experts who have many theories and statistics to support their point of view.

The one thing they never tell you about HRT
Article Abstract:
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can cause problems with less potent middle-aged husbands although it provides relief from many menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and depression. It gives women back the vitality and sexuality of youth and protects against future bone-thinning and heart attacks. Men can also have HRT but it is not commonly available. Some men fear the development of superwomen and concern is felt about the imbalance caused between men and women.
