There is continued controversy in the UK about the potential health risks to children from having the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine. It is now time for the government to instigate a large-scale research project, thus ensuring that parents have the correct information with which to make an informed decision.

UK society has privatized motherhood, with mothers frequently having to cope unsupported with issues such as employment and childcare. It is argued that the UK has the worst standards of childcare in the UK, and both mothers and fathers need to fight against this.
