If you can stick it, you can kick it
Article Abstract:
Nicotine patches help smokers give up by coping with the physical addiction. They are available as 24-hour patches, Nicotinell and Nicabate and 16-hour patches, Nicorette. The cost is similar at about 180 pounds sterling for a 12-week course. They are large, round plasters which get smaller each week as the body becomes used to a lower amount of nicotine. The gradual withdrawal aids the metabolism and the problem of weight gain is avoided.
