If you really want to know, look in the mirror
Article Abstract:
The National Gallery in London, England, is staging an exhibition entitled 'Mirror Image - Jonathan Miller on Reflection.' This exhibition, devised and curated by Jonathan Miller, focuses on mirrors in pictures, but also looks at reflective surfaces generally. It covers a range of paintings and prints, but also has colour copies of unobtainable works relevant to the theme. Pictures are used to demonstrate perception, and perception as a clue to pictures.

Painting history into a corner
Article Abstract:
The Wallace Collection in London, England, is holding an exhibition entitled 'Death and Devotion' to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of artist Paul Delaroche. This contains only 12 paintings and watercolours and a few prints, but gives an insight into the artist's work. He was extremely popular in France in the 1820s and 1830s, but much of his work is not really admired any more. However, some of his scenarios can be very good.
