If you think there's no accounting for taste
Article Abstract:
It is often possible to place tomato plants outside at the beginning of May, although care should be taken if there is still a danger of poor weather conditions. It is important to water the plants in well when they are first set outside, but after this they do not require much water until they begin to flower. There are now many different varieties of tomato available in the UK, and it is very enjoyable to test different kinds each year. Care should be taken to avoid overfeeding, as this produces a large amount of leaf at the expense of the fruit.

On the right track
Article Abstract:
It is vital to establish where the main paths are going to be in a garden before tackling any other aspects of the design. Consideration must be given to whether paths are going to be straight or curved, and to the kinds of surfaces which they will have. The surfaces which look most attractive tend to be the ones which require most upkeep. Leaving paths as beaten air is the most inexpensive option, but this can lead to problems with mud and does not allow contracts of colour and texture with beds.

Bring on the olives and bananas?
Article Abstract:
Some observers believe that global warming will allow plants traditionally associated with hot climates, such as vines and olive trees, to be grown successfully in UK gardens. However, others feel that it will be unlikely that such plants will really flourish in the UK. They point out that the UK has very wet winters, which cause the roots of such plants to rot, and that there can be very severe frosts in winter too.
