In cyberspace, the deaf can hear you scream
Article Abstract:
There is no legislation in the UK requiring organizations to make their Web sites and Web-based services accessible to the disabled. Many publicly funded government sites cannot be accessed by the blind, even if they are using latest software. However, recent developments indicates that the accessibility of the Internet for the disabled is set to improve. The Web Accessibility Initiative and the Royal National Institute for the Blind are working to boost awareness of Web accessibility, both within government organizations and among Web designers.
