Scared for us, but more scared of himself
Article Abstract:
The Catholic Church represents family, children, fidelity and marriage, according to Catholic novelist Piers Paul Read. Catholicism is a integral part of his work, and he has complete moral certitude. He recognizes that others will not necessarily share his views, and accepts that he may be frightened of his own emotional impulses. He is most well known for 'Alive,' his non-fiction account of the Andes air crash survivors, but has also written 13 novels.

A plea to the Poet Laureate
Article Abstract:
It is important to encourage more and better teaching of poetry in UK schools, according to Poet Laureate Andrew Motion. He does not believe that a Poet Laureate should have no real function, and is determined to bring poetry to ordinary people. He feels that it is important to try to write poems about specific events, even though writing poetry to order in this way is not always successful.
