The economies of Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, the Philippines and Malaysia, the five core emerging countries, are showing signs of growth. This trend has prompted some observers to state that the worst of the economic crisis in Asia is now over. However, others are more cautious, stating that economic revival will only be sustainable if Asian countries implement financial reforms. They warn that there is still a risk of economic problems in certain countries spreading across the world.
