Israeli killing of Hamas member frustrates Allies

The US and its allies are likely to react very negatively to the extra-judicial killing by an Israeli squad of Abdul Rahman Hamad, a leading member of Islamic militant group Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has emphasized that he will give the security of Israelis a higher priority than the wider need of the US to retain support for its military action against Afghanistan.
