It's a mad, bad world
Article Abstract:
Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky feels that he was attempting with his 1973 film 'The Holy Mountain,' which has now become available on video in the UK, to make a film about mystical enlightenment. He was determined to make something sacred, even though he had many problems with the actors he used. He believes that all his work, even the strange fantasy 'Santa Sangre,' released in 1989, is based on real life. He welcomes the fact that he still has the imagination and the energy to create.
