Joseph C. Harsch

Writer and broadcaster Joseph Harsch studied history at Williams College in Massachusetts, and then undertook further study at Corpus Christi, Cambridge, England. He contributed to the Christian Science Monitor between 1929 and 1997, and began broadcasting when he was the bureau chief for this publication in Berlin, Germany. He joined the National Broadcasting Co as a news analyst in 1953, and became this company's senior European correspondent in London, England, in 1957.

Owen Reed
Article Abstract:
Television producer Owen Reed began his working life in the theatre, having a strong family background in the theatre. He then moved into radio production, and after the second world war became drama producer for radio in the BBC's West Region. He later took a television training course, and went on to produce several plays for children's television. He subsequently headed BBC Children's Television and managed BBC Staff Training.

David Graham
Article Abstract:
Broadcaster David Graham spent time in Germany before going up to Baliol College, Oxford, England, to read Greats. He spent several years travelling and working as a school teacher, and then joined the BBC's staff reserve in 1938. He became a regular member of the German News Talks Dept during the second world war. He reported from India for the BBC in 1947, and eventually became a Central Research Organiser.
