It is hard for a singer who has been used to performing in a double act to develop a solo career, according to country music singer Wynonna Judd. She began her career in a double act with her mother, Naomi, but was forced to develop a solo career after her mother became ill. She had an itinerant childhood, and her relationship with her mother was often very strained. However, she is determined not to focus too heavily on her weaknesses, and has become accustomed to extensive media interest in her private life.
