Luigi Villoresi
Article Abstract:
Racing driver Luigi Villoresi began motor racing in 1931, and in 1933 participated in his first major event, the Mille Miglia. He won the Italian 1100cc sports car championship in 1935, and in 1937 won the voiturette championship in Brno, Czechoslovakia. He won three top voiturette races in 1938, when he was also the Italian 1500cc champion. He became a works driver for Maserati, but signed up with Ferrari for the 1949 season. He drove in grands prix for Ferrari, and was also contracted to race sports cars.

Roger Clark

Rally driver Roger Clark joined his father's small garage business after leaving school in the late 1950s. He became involved in motorsport, and soon came to attention in British club rallies. He created a partnership with co-driver Jim Porter that was to last for many years. He had his first full season for Ford in 1966, and from 1968 drove the fastest special-engined Ford Escorts. He was a member of the famous Ford factory rally team in the 1970s.
