Soldier, electrician and mechanical engineerin Skelly Ginn was born in Cambridge, England, in 1910. He followed a four-year sandwich course in Electrical Engineering at Faraday House in London, England, and from 1931 to 1936 worked for GEC. He joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve as a sergeant pilot in 1936.

Lt-Col Christopher Sinclair
