Michael Hutchence
Article Abstract:
Singer, songwriter and actor Michael Hutchence performed with the Farriss Brothers in the second half of the 1970s. The group changed its name to INXS, and released its debut album in 1980. It had a number of hit records in the 1980s, and was particularly successful with the 1987 album 'Kick.' Hutchence became quite wealthy, but experienced considerable difficulties in the last few years of his life. He found media attention hard to handle, and failed to complete work on his solo sessions.

The show must go on ...
Article Abstract:
It is generally possible for music groups to survive the departure of a key member. In some cases, the group borrows a performer from another group, while in other cases it gives an existing member a more prominent role. This was the case with Genesis, which promoted Phil Collins when Peter Gabriel left in 1975. However, a group that loses too many of its original members can find that its popularity wanes. This has happened to Earth Wind And Fire.
