Article Abstract:
The Lee Valley Regional Park was developed in the 1960s as a north-easterly environmental area for London, England. It stretches as far south as East India Dock basin on the banks of the Thames. Its attractions include Cornmill Meadows, one of only four sanctuaries in the UK for dragonflies, artworks celebrating Travel and Discovery and the 300ft-high Pole Hill. Lee Valley Regional Park also has the meridian line running through its centre, and will become part of the 260-mile national Meridian Way.
