Article Abstract:

More white people in the UK fall victim to racial offences than blacks or Asians, according to a report from the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE). It is believed that many of the white victims could be Jewish, Irish or members of other European minorities. CRE Chmn Sir Herman Ouseley has emphasized that the 'white' category is very wide and that it should not be assumed that a white victim has been racially abused or attacked by a person of a different skin colour.
