Nobody can give him limbs. But what about more cash?
Article Abstract:
The people who were born deformed and disabled as a result of their mothers having taken the drug thalidomide during pregnancy are now in their 30s, but still have not received proper compensation, according to Freddie Astbury, founder of the Thalidomide Action Group. A 20 million pounds sterling trust fund was set up in 1973 by Distillers, which admitted to having distributed the drug without proper testing. This ensures lifetime provision for the survivors, but they still feel that this is not enough. They require expensive equipment, and still do not have the same freedom as people who are not disabled.

Beyond the ceiling, the sky's the limit
Article Abstract:
Women account for half the workforce in the UK, but they are still largely only in jobs which offer a low salary and limited responsibilities. The main problem is still the fact that women are unable to combine having children with a demanding career. Men are able to give themselves fully to their work, but women cannot do so without feeling that they are neglecting their children.
