Noel Johnson
Article Abstract:
Actor Noel Johnson appeared in small roles on the radio and in weekly rep before enlisting in the Royal Army Service Corps during the second world war. He was invalided out of the Army, and was offered the Dick Barton role while playing a small part in a BBC serialization of Wilkie Collins's 'The Woman in White' in 1945. He subsequently took the role of Dan Dare for Radio Luxembourg, with this engagement running until 1956. He went on to play a very wide range of roles on radio.
