Nothing to rebel against - pity the poor conformists without a cause
Article Abstract:
Young people in modern society have no role models of rebellion against the social norm. Pop stars tend to be more concerned about brand marketing than about rebellion, and some are even going as far as establishing friendly relations with politicians. Causes which were traditionally the preserve of the younger generation, such as environmental protection, are now being taken up by politicians, and young people are taking up positions which were traditionally held only by the older generation. However, this is likely to be only a cyclical trend.

Taken for 10.5m pounds sterling and the kitchen sink
Article Abstract:
Sir Terence Conran has expressed outrage at the 10.5 million pounds sterling divorce settlement which has been awarded to Lady Caroline Conran, his third wife. She claims that she played a key role in building up his business empire, while he believes that she did very little. They married in 1963, and in 1964 the first of Conran's Habitat stores began trading. The judge concluded that Lady Caroline had contributed many valuable ideas as the Habitat chain was being established.
