Fur coats come in from the cold
Article Abstract:
Fur farming has a very negative image, and well known personalities, including models, have been persuaded to protest against it. In fact, latest fur farms are well organised operations which have received extensive investment. The animals raised at these farms are kept in clean surroundings, and are in very good physical condition. Careful attention to husbandry has reduced behavioural problems, and the animals are treated in much the same way as farmed chickens and pigs, about which there have been no protests.

The pointless destiny of the Antarctic walker
Article Abstract:
True exploration no longer exists, according to Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who is undertaking his forthcoming solo walk across Antarctica as much because he regards such expeditions as his profession as for the sake of exploration alone. His trip will attract considerable attention, as it is undeniably interesting, and will raise a lot of money for charity. However, it will have little to do with Antarctica itself, as it could have been undertaken anywhere.
