The presence on Death Row in Adiala prison, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, of Professor Muhammad Yunus, a lecturer at the Homoeopathic College in Islamabad, Pakistan, highlights the powerlessness of Pakistani military ruler General Pervez Musharraf. It seems that Musharraf is unable to prevent religious fanaticism, which was behind Yunus's conviction, overtaking Pakistani society.

The withdrawal of Taliban leaders and troops from key cities in Afghanistan is creating significant challenges for Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf.
