Article Abstract:
The lack of growth of the generic drugs market was explored during a panel discussion at the Mar 1999 Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Assn meeting. National Assn of Chain Drug Stores VP Mary Ann Wagner, for instance, said that brand manufacturers were blocking the growth of generic drug industry through efforts such as filing patent infringement lawsuits. 100-year-old pharmacy holds on to its heritage
Article Abstract:
New York, NY-based Lascoff's is celebrating its centenary in 1999. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani has officially recognized the landmark store for 100 years of service to the community. The historical site, which has a cathedral-like serenity, gives visitors a feeling that they are treading in the footsteps of long-gone apothecaries of another era. Lascoff's has retained most of its original store cabinets and apothecary globes and its staff continues to do everything manually.
