Article Abstract:
The film 'Pearl Harbor' is to be released in Britain today, May 31, 2001, nearly 60 years after the incident took place. Issues concerning the portrayal of the attack in the film compared with 'From Here to Eternity' by James Jones are presented. There is concern that the public lack sufficient understanding and knowledge of the historical event.
